The BlackBerry Curve 8310 is a stylish business tool. It’s compact enough to fit comfortably in your hand, but solid and sleek enough to withstand any and all demands made on it.
BlackBerry 8310 Design
The BlackBerry 8310 Curve measures 107 mm (height) x 60 mm (width) x 15.5 mm (thickness) and weighs 111 grams. Besides being pocket friendly, it has rounded edges to give it a smooth appearance and a sleek metallic finish. The 2.5-inch LCD screen fills the top half of the front of the handset. Images are displayed with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and have support up to 65 000 colours to ensure that images are vivid and clear. Below the screen is a trackball for easy navigation, and below that is a full QWERTY keypad. The individual keys are nicely spaced and have a backlight to help aid vision.
BlackBerry 8310 Music
The Curve 8310 features an integrated music player that supports most popular music formats. Your music tracks can also be used as ringtones if desired. The 3.5 mm stereo headset jack allows you to listen to your music tracks with your favourite headphones. There is 64 MB of internal flash memory for you to store your tracks on, but there is the option of increasing this by means of a microSD card if desired.
BlackBerry 8310 Camera
The 8310 Blackberry has a built-in 2-megapixel camera with high picture quality. The 5x digital zoom means that decent pictures can be taken at a distance, and there is a flash feature to allow you to photograph even when lighting conditions aren’t ideal. The camera feature also doubles as a video recorder.
BlackBerry 8310 Applications and Internet
Beside the standard phone applications, the 8310 Curve comes with a number of extra features to make it a particularly nifty business tool. The phone has full GPS navigation and BlackBerry Maps makes sure that you always know where you’re going. There’s a document viewer as well as a great calendar/organiser. The handset has an Embedded RIM¨ Wireless Modem, and there is full support for HTML and e-mail with attachments.
Internet connectivity is made possible with Bluetooth, USB, GPRS and EDGE technologies.
