Blackberry 9300 Gemini Review

The Blackberry 9300 is a forthcoming attraction from Blackberry. Very few specs have been released about the phone at present so there is currently much speculating - but all indications are that we’re in for quite a treat.

Blackberry 9300 Gemini Design

The Blackberry 9300 Gemini has not yet been released and, as such, much about the phone is still speculation. It seems that it is going to look very similar to the current Blackberry 8900 curve, but with a larger, higher-resolution screen. The measurements of the phone are approximately 112 mm (height) x 58.1 mm (width) x 14.6 mm (thickness). Below the screen is the full QWERTY keypad. The keyboard is said to be much rounder than the 8900. The End/Send keys that usually lie flush against the side of the phone are also said to be rounded to make for easier use. Colour-wise, the Blackberry 9300 will be available in silver.

At present no information could be found about whether or not the Blackberry 9300 Gemini will have a music player. If it keeps with many of it’s predecessors, then a media player could very well be included. Many of the Blackberry smartphones are able to sync with iTunes or Windows Media Player to allow you to control your music on your phone. We will have to wait and see if the Gemini 9300 will have this feature.

Blackberry 9300 Gemini Camera

There is unfortunately also very little information available about the camera features on the Blackberry 9300. Pre-release information suggests that there will definitely be an integrated camera, but the only specs that are currently available suggest that it will be at least 3.2-megapixels.

Blackberry 9300 Gemini Applications and Internet

In addition to the standard phone features, the Blackberry 9300 Gemini comes with an in-built GPS and Bluetooth chip. It should support a 3G connection, and quad-based GSM, GPRS and EDGE are supported. It appears that there will also be WiFi.

All indications suggest that the Blackberry 9300 Gemini is going to have the sleek, attractive appearance we’ve come to expect from Blackberry. The lack of information concerning the actual specs is a bit disappointing, but expectations are high and hopefully Blackberry won’t fail to deliver on the 9300.
