The BL40 Black Label is the up and coming phone from LG. The few specs that have been released look very promising, and we can just hope that LG manages to meet all expectations.

LG BL40 Chocolate Design

The BL40 is expected to be the new phone in LG’s chocolate series. There is much hearsay and speculation about the phone, but as yet, LG have been pretty tight-lipped about the final specs. One of the most striking features of the phone will probably be the large 4-inch touchscreen. With a cinema aspect ratio of 21:9 and a resolution of 800 x 345 pixels, you can be sure of great visuals. The scratch-resistant glass will make sure that your BL40 can be carried around with you everywhere without damage to the display. Final colour options haven’t been released yet, but it appears that the LG BL40 Chocolate will only be available in black.

LG BL40 Black Label Music

There’s not much information available on a music player for the LG BL40 Chocolate Black, but it does appear that there will be an integrated FM transmitter. 335 MB worth of internal storage means that the phone can store a decent amount of music for you, but there is also a MicroSD Card slot so that this capacity can be increased if desired.

LG BL40 Chocolate Black Label Camera

The LG BL40 will come with an integrated 5-megapixel camera. The large screen size will allow for great picture taking, and the Schneider Kreuznach lens will ensure that you get great shots every time. It is not yet clear whether the camera has any video recording features.

LG BL40 Chocolate Black Label Applications and Internet

In addition to the standard phone applications, a couple of extras have been confirmed for the LG BL40 Black Label. Both A-GPS and Wi-Fi will be supported on the phone. The BL40 also features 3G connectivity with 7.2Mbps HSDPA. There is full HTML support and Internet connectivity will most likely be made possible with GPRS, UMTS and HSDPA.

LG BL40 Chocolate Black Label Summary

There is unfortunately very little information available about the LG BL40 Chocolate Black, but the small amount that has leaked out is looking pretty good. The phone appears slim and sleek, and the features are expected to be top class. Some have even said that it could be a possible contender against the iPhone. We’ll just to wait in eager anticipation to see if LG delivers.
