The LG GC900, also known as the LG KC900 Viewty 2, is the successor to the very popular LG Viewty. (Apologies for the picture quality, this will be updated when better pictures become available). The Viewty 2 KC900 is a beautiful looking phone with a massive touchscreen and amazing camera.
LG KC900 Design
The LG KC900 Viewty 2, in typical LG fashion, looks fantastic. It is dominated by the massive 3 inch WVGA touchscreen, which is scratch resistant. The screen has a built-in accelerometer sensor, which means that the screen will automatically switch between horizontal and vertical views depending on how you tilt it. Full measurements are not yet known, but the LG Viewty 2 will be a fairly large phone for sure. There is reportedly a slide out keypad, which should make typing that much faster. No doubt it will also have a few camera dedicated buttons.
LG KC900 Music
The music player supports all popular music formats and of course has an FM Radio. Internal memory has not yet been confirmed but memory should be able to be expanded to atleast 32MB.
LG KC900 Camera
The camera on the LG KC900 Viewty 2 has 8 mega pixels with auto focus and xenon flash. Some advanced features include Schneider Kreuznach lens, image stabiliser, smile shutter, face detection, blink detection (where the camera auto takes 2 pictures and then selects the one with the most eyes open) , and geo-tagging. With face detection, the LG KC900 can actually focus and adjust for up to 10 individual faces in each picture, which is a really clever feature. Overall, the camera on the Viewty 2 LG is set to be excellent.
LG KC900 Applications and Internet
Application-wise the LG KC 900 has more than would be expected and will perform most functions. These include intergrated GPS with A-GPS, and push email. The interface is a unique 3D S-class user interface, which makes moving around a snap. You are also able to set up to 4 home screens.
Internet connectivity is very fast with 3G 7.2Mpbs HSDPA, Wifi and bluetooth.
LG KC900 Summary
The LG Viewty 2 (KC900) is an excellent mobile phone from LG that looks set to shake things up for Nokia and Samsung. The camera is brilliant and the touch screen interface a breeze to use.
