LG GW550 Design
The LG GW550 measures 116 mm (height) x 62 mm (width) x 12 mm (thickness) and weighs 125.5 grams. The phone is only available in black, but there are subtle silver accents that contribute to a sleek and elegant appearance. The screen measures 2.4 inches and uses a 64k colour display to allow for clear images. Below the screen is a full QWERTY keypad to allow for easy e-mailing, chatting and SMSing.
LG GW550 Music
The LG GW550 comes with a built-in music player and FM radio. All popular music formats are supported (MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+, Enhanced AAC+, MPEG4 and WMA), and any MP3’s on the phone can also be used as ringtones. There is only 40MB of internal memory, meaning that there is not too much space to store your music tracks. Fortunately the memory can be increase to 8GB with the use of a MicroSD card.
LG GW550 Camera
The LG GW550 comes with an integrated 3.1 megapixel digital camera. It comes with a dedicated camera key to allow for ease of use, and also has a zoom function. The built in photo editor allows you to make certain changes to your pictures, crop them, or place them in photo albums. LG have also included a good quality video recorder with video editing and video gallery functions.
LG GW550 Applications and Internet
In addition to the standard phone applications, the LG GW550 comes with a built-in hands-free speakerphone and a Java games/downloadable games feature. If you enjoy chatting then you’ll appreciate the threaded-view messaging function. The document viewer can also be used with Word, Excel, PDF and Power Point files.
Internet connectivity is made possible with 3G, HSDPA, HSCSD, EDGE, GPRS, USB and Bluetooth.
