The Motorola Jewel (or motojewel) is a very unique looking mobile, with a definite focus on the ladies.

Motorola Jewel Design

The Motorola Jewel is a clamshell phone, and it has a jewel likeness with its crystal cut silver casing. It really is a unique looking phone. Dimension-wise the Motorola Jewel measures 90mm x 48mm x 16mm and weighs just 95 grams, so will fit easily into the smallest of handbags. A really cool feature is how the screen works on the outside. The outside screen uses a mirrored display, so it blends into the casing when turned off and is basically invisible. When activated, the display is purple and appears to float on the motojewel. Another cool thing is that when you play music, there are touch-sensitive music buttons on the display as well. Once flipped open, the inside casing is purple and the keypad is a great size. The internal screen is large and very easy to navigate.

Motorola Jewel Music

There is a built-in music player on the Motorola Jewel, that supports the popular formats, and has an FM Radio. As we mentioned above, the music can be controlled by using the cool touch sensitive buttons on the external display.

The camera on the Motorola Jewel is 2 mega pixels with 8x digital zoom.

Motorola Jewel Applications and Internet

The Motorola Jewel is meant to be more of a fashion phone, instead of a smart phone, so does not have any top-end features. However it does have the basics such as calendar, alarm, personal organiser, etc. Internet connection is good, with bluetooth, GPRS and EDGE, and it supports most of the popular internet formats.

In summary, the Motorola Jewel is a very stylish (almost opulent) mobile phone, for the fashion conscious user, without a need for any super advanced features. Our only wish was that it had a better camera.
