The Nokia 5730 Xpressmusic is a brilliant looking full QWERTY keyboard from Nokia, with a good camera and excellent internet connection.
Nokia 5730 Design
The Nokia 5730 Xpressmusic is not a small phone and measures 112mm x 51mm x 15.4mm and weighs a chunky 135 grams. However it really looks fantastic, and so this can be forgiven. The screen is a large 2.4 inches with the typical call function keys beneath it and a useful NavPAd. Available in red, silver, pink or blue, Nokia have done some clever styling to make the 5730 Nokia xpressmusic really stand out. And it does have a lot to live up to, going by it’s predecessor, the Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic. The keypad is a little crowded, but you get used to this pretty quickly. However don’t really worry about this for texting/emails as a full QWERTY keyboard slides out from the side.
Nokia 5730 Xpressmusic Music
The music player supports all the popular music formats (MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+ & eAAC+), and of course has an FM Radio. There is also a 3.5 mm jack, so you can plug in your own headphones, which is excellent news. Internal memory is 100mb, but this can be increased to 16GB by using a MicroSD card. A very clever feature is the Say and Play function, which means you can control the music with your voice.
Nokia 5730 Xpressmusic Camera
The camera on the Nokia Xpressmusic 5730 has 3.2 mega pixels, autofocus, an LED Flash and 8 x digital zoom. There is a full screen view photo finder, dedicated camera key, red eye reduction, a self-timer and Carl Zeiss optic lens. It also comes with some photo editing software, and of course video editing is possible.
Nokia 5730 Xpressmusic Applications and Internet
The Nokia 5730 has the full range of standard applications (calendar, alarm, notes, to do list) as well a handsfree speakerphone, VoiP call, voice dialing, A GPS Navigation and Nokia Maps 2.0. Internet connection is excellent with 3G HSDPA, Bluetooth, EDGE and WLAN wifi. Also, with the QWERTY keyboard, emails a re a sinch to type.
Nokia 5730 Xpressmusic Summary
The Nokia 5730 Xpressmusic has a lot to live up to, but it just might be able to do it. We wish it had more mega pixels and a few advanced music features, but it does look great. The QWERTY keyboard is an excellent touch, especially bolted in with the high quality internet connectivity.
