The Nokia 7310 mobile phone’s music player, although not top-end by a long shot, is reasonable. Out the box is has 32MB of on-board storage, which can of course be boosted with Micro SD cards up to 4GB. It is pretty simple to use, and the Nokia 7310 has two music keys on its side.
The music performance is nothing to write (or rather sing) home about, but sound quality can be improved by getting a better pair of headphones than the standard ones provided.
The one thing that is surprisingly difficult to do, is to actually get music on the Nokia 7310 Supernova. There is no USB cable or Nokia PC Suite included. You will need to drag and drop your songs onto the memory card and then put the card into your phone. However you can always download Nokia’s PC Suite and then use Bluetooth.
Camera time. As you would expect from a mobile phone in this price range, the Nokia 7310 does not have the best camera around. We found this surprising, as given the demographic they are targeting, a camera should have been more of a priority. It is a 2-megapixel camera, does not have autofocus and leaves images a little dis-coloured. The Nokia 7310 does have a video player, but once again, this is of poor quality and performance.
Overall, the Nokia 7310 Supernova is a surprise from Nokia. As part of the Supernova family, which are fashion conscious phones, the 7310 really is the black sheep of the family. It is trying to bring back snap-on covers, which perhaps are popular, but could be done better than it is currently being done here.
