The Nokia N79 is a brand new mobile phone from the mobile phone behemoth that is Nokia. It is of course an upgrade to the popular Nokia N78.

Nokia N79 Design

The Nokia N79 is one of the lightest Nseries phones around, weighting at around 100g. However, they have managed to include a fairly larger screen, at 2.4inches, which is only slightly smaller than the Nokia N85. There is a solid fully functioning keypad, with a 4-way navigation pad. The standard colour for the Nokia N79 is silver, but it does come with 3 Xpress-on smart covers, and the screen will automatically change according to the cover used. Overall dimensions are 110mm x 49mm x 15mm - which is a good sized phone.

Nokia N79 Camera

The Nokia N79 comes with a fairly standard camera for Nokia, i.e. 5mega pixel, CMOS sensor, Carl Zeiss optics, an amazing 20x digital zoom , Tessar Lens, auto-focus with 2 stage capture key, Duel LED flash and flash modes that can be, On, Off, Automatic or with Red-Eye reduction. And of course the Nokia N79 also allows videos to be taken.

Nokia N79 Music

The Nokia N79 has an amazing music player, and supports the main formats of MP3, WMA, AAC, and eAAC. There is 74MB of internal memory, 78MB of nand flash memory and a memory card slot. And of course the Nokia N79 has a FM Radio.

Nokia Internet and Applications

The Nokia N79 is internet ready and supports HTML/XHTML formats, and is wifi enabled.

There are some truly awesome applications on the Nokia N85, which make it a great life organiser. These include: Adobe Flash lite, Nokia Maps, Zip Manager, Quickoffice etc.

Nokia N79 Summary

The Nokia N79 is basicaly a cheaper version of the N96. It has almost all the same bells and whistles, but at a far more affordable price. Highly recommended.
